Waterboy Pasadena’s home filtration helps improve the water you use every day—from your shower and laundry to your kitchen faucet.

Whole-house filtration treats water as it enters your home. Depending on the filters installed, it can reduce sediment, chlorine, and unwanted tastes or odors. That can mean better-smelling water, more comfortable showers, and less sediment reaching fixtures and appliances.

Hard-water treatment serves a separate purpose. If your system includes a water softener, it removes the calcium and magnesium that cause hardness, helping reduce scale and soap buildup. Salt-free conditioners can help control scale, but they don’t remove those minerals.

Kitchen drinking-water filtration adds treatment at a dedicated faucet. If your Waterboy setup includes reverse osmosis followed by a mineral cartridge, it filters the drinking water and then adds minerals back, which can improve taste and raise its pH.  The exact benefits depend on your equipment and the water coming into your home. Send me the system’s model or a picture of its components, and I can explain exactly what your filtration removes and how each stage works.

Waterboy filtration PFOA and PFOS are chemicals that can contaminate drinking water. They belong to a larger group called PFAS and are often called “forever chemicals” because they break down very slowly. Some can stay in your body for years.

Removing them matters because drinking contaminated water repeatedly adds to your exposure. Over time, exposure to certain PFAS has been linked to higher cholesterol, immune-system effects, liver problems, and some cancers. These are potential risks—not a prediction that everyone exposed will get sick.

The purpose of filtration is to reduce that daily exposure. Suitable carbon filters capture these chemicals, while reverse osmosis uses a membrane to separate them from the drinking water. The equipment must be designed for PFAS reduction and maintained properly.
